The Department of South Carolina American Legion Auxiliary has two gatherings for the membership a year — A convention usually held in June with the Legion and a Mid-Winter Conference usually in January at a site decided on by the Executive Committee of the Auxiliary. During the Convention, elections, reports, awards and presentations, and business are all conducted. During the Mid-Winter Conference there are mid-year reports and updates on Auxiliary policies and procedures and if needed, training and/or workshops. The National Convention is usually in late July or August with department officer training usually in the spring.
